Altamirano's first large-scale directing project studied María Irene Fornés iconic three person drama Mud. A fully produced production served by a full design team and with substantial department support, directing Mud enabled Cristy with the invaluable experience of working closely with actors, designers, and a production team over the course of a five week rehearsal period.
Advisement included aiding Altamirano in thinking through dramaturgical questions about the play and assisting her directorial process with actors in rehearsal and technical productions.
